Finance software for groups, not single companies
Most accounting tools assume one company, one bank, one set of books. Teams that run several entities end up stitching spreadsheets together every month. We built CovelBooks to make that the software's job.
- 4 levels
- Company, bank, account and card in one tree
- Multi-currency
- Tracked per account and per card
- Double-entry
- Every transfer balances by design
We kept rebuilding the same group ledger
Before CovelBooks, the people behind it ran finance across a handful of related companies. Each one had its own bank logins, its own cards, and its own export format. Closing the month meant reconciling all of it by hand and hoping the totals lined up.
The tools on offer were built for a single business. Adding a second company meant a second subscription and a second silo — never a shared view. So the group reporting always happened outside the software, in a spreadsheet no one trusted.
CovelBooks is the product we wanted then: import every statement, let rules do the categorizing, transfer money between accounts as proper double-entry pairs, and read one set of books across the entire group.
Principles that shape the product
These are not slogans — each one maps to a decision in how CovelBooks is built.

CovelBooks is built and maintained by Highpixel. We are a small team that ships deliberately — features land when they make the ledger more correct or the close faster, not to chase a roadmap.
